I still have 60th birthday cards around the house and am looking at them and thinking…. whose are those? I guess many of my friends and family at a similar distance on life's journey have been experiencing the same thing. It has been ten years since Mikestock, and if anyone is up for doing it again... then so am I.
In those ten years, we will have lost loved ones, so it's lovely to have such happy memories from the 2014 festival, and I'm sure people will be with us again in spirit. Sometimes, we need to make an effort to get together and enjoy each other's company, so this is exactly that.
Please come and enjoy: I aim to cater for everyone. Brook Lodge Farm campsite, our festival venue, is a lovely place to be, and we have it for the weekend. There will be quiet, out-of-the-way places, the main festival stage, top Bristol-based bands, and outstanding festival food and drink. Whether you want to come for the day or a few hours, bring a tent or a camper van, stay in one of the luxury bell tents or stay in the Holiday Inn just a few 100 yards away, I've got you covered.
I love a challenge, and I have a lot to organise, but I know I can count on those closest to me to share the load. I look forward to seeing as many of you as can come, and I am sure we will make it the festival of the summer.
